Marianist Art Sale Feb 8-10 at Gallery Saint John

Gallery Saint John is holding a special three-day event Feb.8-10, 2024. During this time, a wide range of art will be available for purchase. Some of the artists involved in the gallery include Bro. Joe Barrish, Bro. Don Smith, Bro. John Lemker, Bro. Charlie Wanda, Fr. Mike Nartker, Bro. Louis Fournier, and Bro. Gary Marcinowski.

After more than 34 years of displaying the creative talents of the Marianist Brothers, Gallery Saint John will close on March 1, 2024. Since the gallery’s grand opening in December 1989, countless works have been publicly showcased.

“We are fortunate to be blessed by the talents of our brothers who create such beautiful and inspiring works. We encourage them to continue to express and share the grace of their imagination and creativity. The legacy of our artists will move to the Marianist Creativity Center located at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. We will continue to look for ways to showcase the art of our brothers and display it on various social media outlets where it can continue to be discovered, preserved, and offer inspiration for future generations,” said Fr. Oscar Vasquez, Provincial for The Marianist Province of the United States.

Mount Saint John’s 150-acre campus is forever growing and changing, with more development expected later in the year. In June 2023, the Marianists committed to going green and installed hundreds of solar panels on the property, powering the entire campus without reliance on fossil fuels.

The Marianists have lived and ministered at Mount St. John since 1910. The 150-acre property is home to the Marianist Novitiate, North American Center for Marianist Studies, Marianist Mission, Bergamo Center for Lifelong Learning, Marianist Environmental Education Center (MEEC), and is home to a new, three-acre solar array and nature preserve covering 100 acres of woodland and wetlands, 425 plant species, 60 butterflies and some 100 bird species.
