What started as a simple idea by Centerville Arts Commission member Terry O’Brien to bring local musicians together has grown into a heartwarming holiday way to give back. O’Brien has united more than 15 area artists to produce Dayton Holiday Hits for Hope, a free collection of holiday music created to share joy and support a meaningful local cause.

From November through January 1, residents can stream or download all tracks at HolidayHitsForHope.org.

The project features performances from The Fries Band, Stranger, Alexis Gomez, Ashley Martin, The Milos, Elyse Wilkinson, The Brockman Brothers, The Mabarak Family, Brass Tracks, Allie Haines, Retrobution, Beth Metcalf, Alex Wunder, Alexandra Kiefaber, The 5 Band, and The Distance—a diverse lineup that reflects the region’s rich musical talent and spirit of generosity.

“I wanted to showcase the incredible musicians we have right here in Dayton, while also giving back to the community,” said O’Brien.

O’Brien’s work on this project is being done independently of his volunteer role with the Centerville Arts Commission. The City of Centerville is highlighting this initiative as part of its ongoing effort to recognize Arts Commission members who make a positive impact beyond their City service.

In addition to free downloads, visitors to HolidayHitsForHope.org can make an optional donation to Oasis House, a Dayton nonprofit that provides shelter, resources, and compassionate care to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. All donations go directly to Oasis House to support their mission.

By combining local creativity with community compassion, Dayton Holiday Hits for Hope aims to spread holiday joy and raise vital support for a meaningful cause. The project was made possible through sponsorship from Centerville-based Ameriprise Financial – Christopher Wysong and First Flight Recording Studio.
