A Festival for Dogs and the People They Own

Bring your dog on a leash and give him something exciting to bark about this year! The annual Bark in the 'Burg is a festival for dogs and the people they own. Vendors specializing in canine health and wellness, veterinary services, pet memorials, nutrition, grooming, training, photos and supplies will be at Miamisburg's Community Park. The event kicks off with the 5k-9 Run, Walk and Wag at 8 a.m. Proceeds will help Miamisburg’s new dog park, Canal Run and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Additional activities include a timed agility course, special contests and races for the dogs. Concession vendors are also available.

Schedule Of Events:

7:00 a.m. – On Site Registrations for the 5k, 1 Mile, and 2Mile

8:00 a.m. – Run, Walk, Wag (dogs are optional). All Vendors & Contest Registration Open

8:45 a.m. – Silliest Pet Tricks

9:00 a.m. – Best Howler

9:15 a.m. – 5k-9 Awards Presented

9:30 a.m. – Dog Owner Lookalike Contest

9:45 a.m. – Best Groomed

10:00 a.m. – Dog Races

10:30 a.m. – Costume Contest

FEES

Festival is Free.

Fee required to run or walk in the 1 Mile, 2 Mile, or 5k:

$15 before May 1st, shirt guaranteed.

$20 May 1st- June 22nd, shirt guaranteed.

$25 June 22nd through Race Day shirt NOT guaranteed.

Discount for groups of 6 or more.

Please make sure all dogs are at least six months old, wear current ID tags and are up-to-date on all shots. All dog handlers must be at least 13 years of age and control their dogs at all times. For obvious reasons, please do not bring female dogs in season or dogs needing muzzles. Owners will be responsible for cleaning up after their furry friend.
