Fun in the Neighborhood: Dayton's New Rec Your Hood Events

Looking for a way to reconnect with your community and have some laughs?  Dayton's Department of Recreation is bringing fun directly to four city neighborhoods in 2024.

Rec Your Hood events promise fun for all ages, bringing the party to Burkhardt, Linden Heights, Greenwich Village, and Miami Chapel/Edgemont.

Get ready for an afternoon filled with games, lively DJ tunes, a special zone just for the kids, and even some creative challenges to test your skills. Plus, food and drinks will be available to keep you fueled for all the fun.

"Dayton residents can spend time with neighbors, meet new friends and enjoy free, fun activities near home," said Stephan Marcellus, director of the Department of Recreation. "We look forward to meeting you."

The four Rec Your Hood events for 2024 are:

  • Burkhardt: Saturday, June 8, 1-4 p.m., Stepping Stones Day Care, 215 Burkhardt Rd.
  • Linden Heights: Saturday, June 22, 1-4 p.m., Cleveland Park, 3161 Cleveland Ave.
