The Moon Museum

The Moon Museum
June 29, 2019 - September 8, 2019

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo II Moon landing. The DAI will recognize this remarkable achievement by showing a strange and intriguing story of the Moon Museum. Featuring designs by six artists who include Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, and Robert Rauschenberg, the Moon Museum is a tiny wager made in a small edition, one of which is believed to have traveled to the moon on Apollo 12 Mission, where it remains. Featured on the PBS series History Detectives, the Moon Museum is a compelling story that crosses art and space. Also will include works of art related ot the moon and the Apollo Missions.
