University of Dayton Galleries is thrilled to present RELATIONS, a group exhibition of artists and educators curated by Dr. R. Darden Bradshaw. RELATIONS opens January 12th, 2023 at Radial Gallery, which is located on the 2nd floor of Fitz Hall in the Department of Art and Design. Join us Thursday January 19th 5-7pm for a public reception at Radial Gallery in the Department of Art and Design. We hope you can join us for this exciting event!
Relations draws together Ohio Art Educators and students/mentors and their students’ students, as well in an effort to address the complexity of relationships between teacher – student, art educator – artist, or mentor – mentee. Relations is an exhibition space where people who work in the field of art and art education can share their work, in relationship to another artist/art educator. These artists explore, visually, how relationships between teachers and students develop, morph, and transform as we work in our classrooms, studio practices, or with the passage of time. Featured artists include: Megan Powell, Avery Mahurin, Trista Swift, Megan Newton, Hailey Hunter, Ash Wade, Erica Eyre, Natalie Reed, Rachel O’Bryan, Sarah Brashears, Frankie Oliver, Julie Jones Ruse, Zac Collopy, Bridgette Bogle, Charmaine Greer, Tracey Longley Cook, Michelle Burdine, Allison Parrish, Geno Luketic, Darden Bradshaw, Bing Davis, Dwayne Daniel, Nick Stamas, Nancy Lovett, Melanie Wissel, Barbara Bergstrom, Joan Brown, Clayton Peterson, and Delaney Shin.
The University of Dayton Radial Gallery is located at 1529 Brown St on 2nd floor Fitz Hall in the Department of Art and Design across from the main office of the department. Radial Gallery is open from 9-5pm Monday through Thursday, 9-2pm Friday and 11- 4pm on Sunday. Visitors may obtain a parking pass from the main entrance January 19th during the reception, outside the reception hours, visitors may get a parking pass from the parking attendant at the main entrance of Fitz Hall.
