HeART for Ukraine ARTery Gallery Exhibit-Fundraiser

“HeART for Ukraine” is a very special artist and artisan exhibit and fundraiser organized by The ARTery Gallery located in the Front Street Building in Dayton, OH.  The ARTery Gallery has chosen A Child’s Hope International to be the recipient of ALL sales collected from work sold in the “HeART for Ukraine” special exhibit, and 100% of those funds will be used specifically to provide food for the hungry in Ukraine at this time. The show will be on display during both Gallery openings in October, 1st Friday from 5-9 pm, as well as 3rd Sunday from 12-4pm, located on the outside walls of their Gallery.  The ARTery members, other artists and artisans who are also part of the Front Street Building community, and even a few local artists have joined together to help create and donate many different kinds of fine art and collectibles to sell during this show for this very worthy cause.

Among some of the work that will be available for sale in this exhibit will include a wide variety of Sunflower themed watercolor, encaustic, and acrylic paintings, mixed media, a batik collage on canvas as well as Sunflower photography and digital fine art photography.  There will also be work available that contain a variety of subject matter including colorful glass work pieces, art journals, printmaking, a handwoven scarf, 2 paintings on rusted metal, digital photographic art and more.  The ARTery Gallery would like to thank you in advance for your help and support during this fundraiser.

The ARTery is a Co-Op Gallery of 16 different Artists and Artisans that will also be open for regular business so we hope visitors will check out all the wonderful work on display inside the gallery after visiting the “HeART for Ukraine” exhibit.  The holidays are just around the corner so the Gallery hopes you will come back to visit when looking for special one of a kind gifts for those very special people on your Christmas list and throughout the year!

The ARTery Gallery currently has Artists and Artisans with work on display including Watercolor, Acrylic, and Oil Painting, Encaustic, Fine Art Photography, Photography, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Ceramics, Custom Jewelry, Hand Made Textiles and Sculpture with styles ranging from traditional to Contemporary.  This talented group of artists share a large gallery space located in the Front Street Building in downtown Dayton, Door B-C, on the 3rd floor.  The Gallery is Open each Month 1st Friday 5 - 9 pm & 3rd Sunday, 12 - 4 pm.  Please follow us on Facebook for Special Holiday days and hours throughout the year – The ARTery at Front Street.

Please also come meet the ARTery’s current Visiting Artist for October, Carol ONeal, an emerging Photography/encaustic artist with a fascinating and brilliant body of work, a unique Contemporary blend of both representational and abstract subjects.  As a lifelong photographer she became intrigued with combining her photography with the ancient art of encaustics, a technique of painting with wax.  She has also expanded her pieces to include combining encaustics with various mixed media, collage, alcohol inks, and found objects.

*Current ARTery Artists include:  Fabienne Bee, Alison Bour, Rosalie Campbell, Samantha Farkas, Bob Farley, Charlene Fox, Jim Hayes, Mikee Huber, Bonnie Kuntz, Sarah Maxwell, Melanie Morrett, Ashley Simons, Ryan Taylor, Jo Anne Vincent, Leonard Williams, and David Zawisa.
