Dayton Ohio - Embodied Rising: Weekly Ecstatic Dance Party For The Divine

Embodiment Rising is the weekly dance party to elevate our bodies and hearts to the ecstatic bliss of divine devotion. This is a space of unabashed personal joy, movement, and acceptance, experienced in community.

We gather for devotional dance, and for the opportunity to communicate love to the Sacred. Upon arrival you will be asked who you are dancing for. Then, for several songs you’ll offer yourself as an instrument of action, on behalf of your Divine Beloved. You can dance for the Gods/Goddesses/Great Mystery/Nature… or whatever archetype you like… there’s no judgment here. There are no rules or specific movements to follow in ecstatic dance – the goal is simply to allow the body to move and express itself without judgment or inhibition, solely for the purpose of expression and enjoyment.

We’ll raise the energies of the heart and allow our appreciation to echo throughout time and tide. Your Divinity, and the far reaches of the universe will feel you dancing in their honor.

Your dance is a celebration of your own body and soul.

Sarah Monroe will host the space and offer carefully curated playlists that will help you connect to the ether through your physical being (song requests are always an option!). Embodiment practices can help individuals cultivate a more conscious relationship with their bodies, leading to greater self-awareness, self-compassion, emotional regulation, and physical well-being. It can be a powerful tool for spiritual exploration and growth, but it is also just fun!

We know that the Goddess does not want to be worshiped standing still… so, we shall dance!
