The Omega Flea: Dayton's Music Market
Reaching back past the Halcyon Days of Dayton funk to Robert Pollard’s seemingly endless catalogue, the Gem City has a rich and continuing history of incredible music. To celebrate the work of these talented musicians past and present, Omega Music is hosting the first ever Omega Flea: Dayton’s Music Market on Saturday, September 24 from 2-6pm.
“People may know about pockets of history in Dayton music but so much has happened here,” Alex Staiger, owner of Omega Music said. “For the Omega Flea we’re inviting out local bands and record labels to sell their albums, shirts, posters and more.”
Taking place inside and outside of the store, vendors will be emptying out their closets and offering some great deals on previously unavailable merchandise.
“Maybe you didn’t get that shirt 15 years ago or maybe you just found out about an older band last year,” Staiger said. “It’s Dayton’s musical history on display and for sale.”
In addition to all of the great local music and memorabilia for sale, the event will also feature food, outdoor acoustic music and much more.
“We want to make this a growing annual event that celebrates all of Dayton’s music,” Staiger said. “You may be surprised at what’s being done right here in Southwest Ohio.”
For those interested in The Omega Flea, the event takes place on Saturday, September 24 from 2-6pm at Omega Music.
