Summit Academy Vendor Fair

Vendor Fair Promises to Expand Experiences for Dayton Community School Students

Materials for therapy dog sessions, classroom pizza parties, candy grams, science experiments and state testing snack packs – these are just a few of the wish list items Summit Academy Community School – Dayton hopes to bring to students through its upcoming vendor fair. Sponsored by the Parents Teachers Students Together organization, the fair will take place Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school dojo, 4126 Cedar Ridge Road in Dayton.

Representatives from Usborne Books, Scentsy, Denys Rose Boutique, Transparent Me Blogging, Color Street, Red Zen Candles LLC, and Grand Canyon University have already signed up and several more are expected to follow, according Literacy Coach Sara Schmidt. In all, the event should feature the wares of more than a dozen local vendors.

Students and parents will volunteer at the fair, guiding attendees to tables and offering other accommodations. In addition, refreshments, prepacked due to COVID-19, will be available.

“This is the first time hosting an event of this magnitude,” Schmidt says. “I truly believe it will make positive connections in the community and for our students to have future experiences that have not been afforded to them in the past.”
