NMRA Div 3 Model RailroadTRAINing Day is Back!! This event is FREE to the public.  On March 23  at  9am to 4pm at The Carillon HIstorical Park, 1000 Carillon Blvd, (off South Dixie Dr), Dayton, Ohio we will sponsor the 2019 TRAINing Day.  We are so excited to be at Carillon Park where railroading history is being preserved and taught.

Activities include clinics on: Digital Command Control (DCC), CAD Design, making trees, beginner's scenery, wheels & couplers, building structures, tools, DIY supplies and tools, weathering, engine maintenance, scratchbuilding, electrical, buy it cheap, and much more.

There will be small train layouts/exhibits including coffee table layouts, suitcase layouts, and small space layouts. You can vote for your favorite display in the diorama contest.  NMRA members can participate in the diorama contest (we have a try-us-out railpass membership if you would like to join us and will have all the information there; dioramas must be submitted by 1pm on the 23rd, final judging on the 24th).  

Hands-on activities include the kid's layout build, building with the experts, and an adult T-TRAK (tabletop track) module build. Free drawings include one for the kid's layout at the end of the day, Win It/Build It/Run It, and doorprizes. Bring a car kit (no powered cars, please) to build with the experts or we have a limited number of kits you can available at our cost.  Try to solve our switching puzzle, the TimeSaver.
