Christ In the Passover
Jesus' Last Supper, at which He instituted Holy Communion, was a Jewish Passover. Miriam Borok of Jews for Jesus will re-create the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus' death and resurrection in a presentation called "Christ in the Passover" at Living Water Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:00 PM.
Miriam Borok will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. She will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.
An offering to help support the evangelistic work of Jews for Jesus will be taken. Miriam Borok, born in Russia, but raised in Israel to which her family emigrated when she was five, will also be available to answer your questions after her presentation.
Please feel welcome to join us for our Lenten Soup Supper at 6:00 pm before this event!
