From Page to Screen

In collaboration with the Enrichment Center at Washington Township's RecWest, the Library is launching a new series called From Page to Screen. Each month we will read the book, watch the movie, and discuss!

Read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The novel recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kindler, gentler man.

Film: The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017) starring Dan Stevens, running time of 104 minutes, rated PG. This movie focuses on Dickens' self-renewal to lead a better life.

Copies of this book will be distributed after the previous month's program and available to non-attendees after the film at Woodbourne Library. Books may be returned at the program.

Be inspired! The program is free, but registration is required to ensure adequate seating (and popcorn!).
