18th Annual Dr. Michael Horton Fishing Derby

The 18th Annual Fishing Derby honors Dr. Michael Horton, an avid fisherman and Fairborn Parks & Recreation supporter.

The 2024 Dr. Michael Horton Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 10am-11am at the Community Park Pond (691 E Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd). Registration opens at 9:15am. Derby is ALL Ages as you compete against others in your age bracket for the Most Fish, Longest Fish or Smallest Fish for your chance to win a ribbon, trophy, and prizes! Fishing ends at 11am with awards shortly after. Bring your own fishing pole and bait. No fishing license is required.
