Join the City of Fairborn for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration as the community proudly helps kick off America’s 250th Anniversary with two days of patriotic fun, live entertainment, family activities, and cherished hometown traditions at Community Park, located at 691 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Road.
Fairborn Community Independence Days brings residents and visitors together on July 3 and July 4 for an exciting celebration filled with live music, delicious food trucks, local vendors, free kid's activities, and entertainment for all ages. The event runs each evening from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., creating the perfect summer atmosphere for families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate together.
July 3rd Block Party
The festivities begin July 3 with opening ceremonies featuring the National Anthem, a 21-gun salute, and a performance by the Fairborn Civic Band. Families can enjoy the popular Little Miss and Mister Fairborn contest while taking part in games and activities throughout the park. Evening entertainment includes live performances by Whey Jennings, grandson of Waylon Jennings, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thomas Gabriel, grandson of Johnny Cash, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Parade and Fireworks on July 4th
The celebration continues July 4 with more live entertainment, community spirit, and one of Fairborn’s most treasured traditions, the 78th Annual 4th of July Parade. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Central Avenue and Broad Street, the parade features colorful floats, marching bands, police and fire personnel, veteran groups, and community organizations that draw thousands of spectators each year. Fairborn’s 4th of July parade is known as one of the longest parades in Ohio!
Fairborn's July 4th Parade is NOT just any parade — it’s one of the longest parades in all of Ohio! Expect an all-out spectacle featuring:
- 🎉 Marching bands
- 🚒 Fire trucks and police cruisers
- 🚗 Dazzling floats
- 🎊 Tons of red, white, and blue fun!
- Get there early, stake out your spot, and bring your chairs — this is one parade you don’t want to miss!
After the parade, we move the party to Community Park!
Evening festivities return to Community Park, located at 691 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Road with live music from Party Punch from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Zack Attack from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The celebration concludes with Fairborn’s annual fireworks display presented by Rozzi at dark, lighting up the sky in honor of America’s birthday.
Starting at 4:00 PM, we’re turning up the fun with:
- 🌭 Food trucks
- 🎶 Live entertainment
A breathtaking fireworks show by Rozzi Fireworks will happen around 10 PM — lighting up the sky in true Fairborn style!
