City of Dayton Fireworks at Dayton's Kettering Field - July 3
Celebrate Independence Day in Dayton!
Lights in Flight, the Dayton region's most spectacular fireworks display, returns to Dayton on Friday, July 3.
The City of Dayton invites residents and visitors to join in the America 250 celebration on Friday, July 3, with a day of family-friendly activities: a downtown Dayton parade and afternoon street fair, followed by the annual Lights in Flight fireworks display.
Dayton Independence Day Schedule:
- 11:00 AM - Celebration Begins at Riverscape featuring a street fair, food vendors, games, kids zone, and more
- 12:00 PM - Dayton’s America 250 parade (starts at St. Clair Street/East Second Street, ends at Patterson Boulevard/North Jefferson Street)
- 4:00 PM - Celebration at Riverscape ends
- 10:00 PM - Lights in Flight fireworks launched from Kettering Field
⚠️ Kettering Field is currently undergoing construction - Attendees should note that because Kettering Field is currently closed for major park construction and upgrades, the field itself will be closed to the public and to vehicle parking. However, the high-flying fireworks will be easily visible from many surrounding public areas and neighborhoods, allowing residents to watch from nearby parks and sidewalks. The City of Dayton wants to ensure a fun and smooth experience for everyone. Visitors are encouraged to plan their parking and viewing locations in advance. Arriving early is the best way to secure a good viewing spot for both the parade and the fireworks. ⚠️ NOTE: Viewing from Riverscape is not guaranteed ⚠️
