Centerville Veterans Day Ceremony at Stubbs Park

UPDATED 11/10/25

The City of Centerville invites community members to honor our nation’s heroes at the annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Benham's Grove Event Center, 166 N. Main Street.

The accumulation of snow has prompted the City of Centerville to relocate the ceremony from Stubbs Park. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our guests as temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing before tomorrow’s event.

The ceremony will open with the Presentation of Colors and a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by the Centerville Community Band.

Mayor Brooks Compton will deliver remarks.

Special recognition will be given to the 2025 Veteran Honorees for their service and dedication to our nation.

VFW Post 9550 Commander Richard Hughes will announce the post’s new veteran banner program, set to be featured inside Stubbs Park.

The Centerville Community Band will also perform patriotic selections, including the “Armed Forces Medley,” honoring each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

This free event is open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend and join the City of Centerville in paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of all veterans.
