🪴 🌷 🏡 Centerville’s Free Spring Expo Returns April 11 with Expert Sessions, Vendors and Spring Inspiration

Homeowners and garden enthusiasts will find everything they need to kickstart their spring projects at the 2026 Centerville Spring Expo, presented by the Centerville City Beautiful Commission and The Heart of Centerville and Washington Township

The expanded event builds on the City’s popular Spring Seminar and offers a dynamic, home-and-garden-style experience.  The Centerville Spring Expo takes place Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sinclair Centerville, 5800 Clyo Rd. The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees are invited to stop in throughout the morning to explore vendor exhibits featuring businesses from across Centerville and Washington Township. The Expo serves as a one-stop destination for home improvement ideas, landscaping inspiration and connection with local experts.

In addition to vendor displays showcasing the latest trends in home and garden design, the Spring Expo will feature three live expert sessions designed to educate and inspire:

9:15 a.m.: Home and Garden Panel - Spring Cleaning 101
A panel of local experts will offer practical tips for exterior home preparation and interior cleaning ahead of the Great American Community Garage Sale. From curb appeal improvements to decluttering strategies, the session will equip attendees with actionable advice to refresh their homes for the season.

9:45 a.m.: Perennials That Perform: Botanical Color Year-Round
Brandon Parks, horticulturist with the botanical gardens team at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, will present Perennials That Perform: Botanical Color Year-Round. His session will focus on selecting both native and non-native perennials that deliver reliable, season-long color while supporting pollinators and overall garden health. Drawing inspiration from standout performers such as daylilies and other hardy varieties, Parks will emphasize the importance of “the right plant in the right place” — helping homeowners choose plants that thrive in their specific conditions while enhancing beauty, sustainability and biodiversity.

11:15 a.m.: Boxwood Battles and Backups
Jotham Smith, the City of Centerville’s certified arborist and horticulturist, will address the boxwood moth infestation that has devastated landscapes across the region. His session will explore effective management strategies and highlight alternative foundational plant varieties for homeowners considering replacements. Smith will also provide updates on the spotted lanternfly, which prompted a statewide quarantine last month, and what residents should know to protect their properties.

Guests can register to win exciting door prizes throughout the event. While not required, those wishing to attend the expert sessions should consider pre-registering to expedite their wait time upon arrival.

The Centerville Spring Expo is sponsored by the Centerville City Beautiful Commission, Keep Centerville Beautiful, the City of Centerville and The Heart of Centerville and Washington Township.
