Gather around for a cozy and creative night in beginning your very own mini Art Journal!

The heART Medicine Circle will be led by devoted art journaler Janae Christopher, where she will guide you to connect with your inner creative archetype and provide some simple first steps to get the creativity free-flowing.

If you struggle with perfectionism

If you crave a space to ‘just be messy’

If you want a method that complements your writing journal

If you enjoy practices that get you out of your head and into your body

This circle will be medicine to the heart for you. 

We will explore expression in mini art journals- their size provides a fun challenge for those who already work in creative mediums and a less overwhelming size for those who are just beginning to explore what creativity is for them.

Your mini journals will be provided, and there will be plenty of art supplies for you to play with, from collage paper, stamps, paint, and coloring utensils. 

Some things to consider for our time together:

• If you have supplies you love to use, please feel free to bring them

• If you keep a written journal, you may wish to bring that with you to pull from for inspiration

• We will be using Oracle cards as one method of connecting to our inner creative archetype. If you have a deck you enjoy using, you may wish to bring the deck or a few cards that you find inspiring

Janae began art journaling in 2020 as a means to process the ever-changing landscape of life. It quickly became a therapeutic practice that allowed her to get messy, expressive, and experimental around thoughts and feelings while also documenting inspiration, hope + healing. Her process has sparked others to explore it for themselves and has affirmed her suspicion that everyone has an inner muse waiting to be expressed!
