Sinclair Community Band Free Concert
The Sinclair College Wind Symphony and Concert Band will offer a free concert on Monday, March 6th at 7 p.m. Kettering Fairmont High School Performing Arts Center Auditorium, 3301 Shroyer Rd., Kettering.
Michael Berning conducts the two Sinclair ensembles in what’s been titled “Sketches, Songs, and Sousa” with selections by composers: Frank Ticheli, Gustav Holst, Eric Morales, Fisher Tull, John Philip Sousa, and others. Sinclair adjunct professor Stephanie Voelker is the featured soprano soloist in Goodnight Moon by Eric Whitacre.
These Sinclair Community Bands are comprised of 120 musicians from throughout the Miami Valley including students, educators, and professionals from nearly every walk of life, joining together to celebrate their passion for music.
Additional free Sinclair music concerts for Spring semester in Blair Hall include: The Sinclair Jazz and Youth Jazz Ensembles with guest artist, Eric Lechliter, on April 14 at 7; a Concert Band performance on April 17th at 7; and a Wind Symphony performance on April 19th at 7.
