The Music of Prince: A Rock and Symphonic Tribute

Starting in 1979, Prince Rogers Nelson was a strong, innovative performer in the world of rock and roll. He made his own way through the music industry, making his rock and roll, his blues, his jive distinctive. When Prince performed his music, there was so much more than just a man and his guitar. His wide vocal range and instrumental dexterity, along with his flamboyant personality, made his performances one of a kind. His music on its own is just as memorable.

For The Music of Prince, guest vocalist Mackenzie Green and music director Nisan Stewart will join the DPO to feature many of Prince's best known works, including “Little Red Corvette,” “Kiss,” “When Doves Cry,” “Raspberry Beret,"and, of course, "Purple Rain."

On September 30, 2017, the DPO is "going to party like it's 1999!"  You won't want to miss this outstanding tribute!
