Narcan Training at Dayton FOA Families of Addicts' Meeting
FOA Families of Addicts will host a Narcan Training presented by Project DAWN on July 31, 2019 at the Life Enrichment Center, 425 N Findlay St., Dayton, OH from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Arrive a few minutes early to choose a snack and water or coffee. Free Parking on site.
Project DAWN is a community-based overdose education and naloxone distribution program. Project DAWN participants receive training on:
• Recognizing the signs and symptoms of overdose
• Distinguishing between different types of overdose
• Performing rescue breathing
• Calling emergency medical services
• Administering intranasal Naloxone
Participants will receive a Project DAWN Kit, which includes two doses of Naloxone, a medication that can reverse an overdose that is caused by an opioid drug. Participants can also attend the meeting to refill used or expired kits.
