Donnell Rawlings at Dayton Funny Bone
Donnell first became recognized for his hilarious sketches as ‘Ashy Larry’ on “Chappelle’s Show.” He soon became a force both on and off the stage as a comedian, actor and podcaster. He has won critical acclaim for his role on HBO’s “The Wire” and as ‘Dez’ in Pixar’s hit film “Soul.” Donnell is currently co-starring in STARZ’s “Black Mafia Family/BMF”. And last year, he has his own Netflix special produced by Dave Chappelle called “A New Day”. Proceeds from Donnell’s ticket sales will go to COMEDY GIVES BACK - a nonprofit created to help comedians who are in need. Comedy Gives Back is the safety net for the comedy community providing financial crisis relief, mental health support, chemical dependency treatment sponsorship, and continued community support. Being alone onstage is a part of the job of a stand-up comedian, but feeling alone offstage is unacceptable.
