Nervous System Reset w/ Layne

Yin • Mantra • Yoga Nidra • Sound Healing • Deep Rest

Feel like your body needs a reset. A moment for your body to return to a calm and steady space. Join Layne for a class designed to reset your nervous system. Step into rest and digest mode. This class is designed to help you slow down, release stress, and learn simple tools you can use anytime to feel more calm, grounded, and balanced.

Whether your week has been busy or you’re just craving a little extra self-care, this is a perfect space to reset and recharge. We begin with grounding breathwork to regulate the vagus nerve and settle the mind. Gentle humming and mantra chanting are woven in to stimulate vagal tone, slow the heart rate, and cultivate an inner sense of safety. Yin postures follow, targeting fascia and energetic meridians to release stored tension and create spaciousness in both body and mind. Expect supportive props, dim lighting, intentional stillness and sound healing with the harmonium and other sound healing instruments.

The final portion of class is devoted to guided Yoga Nidra — a deeply restorative meditation often called “yogic sleep.” In this conscious rest state, you’ll be led through body scanning, breath awareness, and subtle visualization to reset the nervous system at a profound level. This practice supports emotional regulation, improved sleep, and long-lasting calm. You’ll leave feeling grounded, regulated, and deeply nourished — with tangible techniques you can use anytime you need to reset

Supported pricing is available via the honor system in a very limited quantity for those in true need. This option is for folks who would not be able to attend the gathering with standard pricing. Layne was born in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. She comes from a family of Yogis and started practicing yoga in 2008. She found that no matter the unpredictability of life, yoga practice kept her grounded and energized for life changes. She loves the focus of Hot 26, challenge of Barkan, freedom of Vinyasa, and quiet balance of Yin and Yoga Nidra. Layne completed her Yin certification with Cindy Lunsford and Gabby DeLorenze in Nashville, her 200 hr Vinyasa training at Hot Yoga Louisville, Yoga Nidra certification with Yogi Charu, and 300 hr Bhakti Immersion in India with Raghunath Cappo. She hopes to hold space for each student to find both strength and balance in their body through their own unique asana practice while incorporating all the elements of a yoga practice that will holistically serve the student. Layne loves to incorporate Bhakti and harmonium into her classes. Outside of the yoga studio you will find her hiking, traveling to the mountains, jumping in a cold mountain swimming hole, riding her horses, crocheting, or hanging with her 3 dogs and cat.
