Stranded Colorwork Knitting Class
Learn the basics of stranded color work knitting while making a beautiful, reversible headband in 2 2-hour sessions.
Class dates (Saturdays, 3:00 - 5:00pm):
- March 11, 18
- April 15, 22
Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl
Skills learned: Stranded color work, knitting in the round, gauge in the round, fixing mistakes, finishing
Materials (not included):
- 2 DK or worsted weight yarns in contrasting colors, approximately 150 yards each
- Yarns shown are The Fibre Co. Acadia in Pinecone and Berroco Artisan in Gold
- Size 7 Needles (1 set of DPNs or 2 24" circulars)
- Circular stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Preparation: Come to the store early enough to purchase supplies and wind your yarn into balls. Our staff will be happy to assist you!
