7:30a–8:30a Pitch AM Hosted by the Entrepreneurs' Center
Pitch AM is a morning pitch series designed to provide Dayton startups with a valuable opportunity to connect their founders with what they need most in the early stages of development, like feedback, strategic partners, mentors, and employees. Two new ventures will pitch their business plans and discuss current needs for 10 minutes each, followed by a five-minute Q&A with the audience.
8:30a–5:00p Open Coworking
Come to The Hub, sign in at the front desk, and start working in downtown Dayton's most iconic coworking space! This free event is an opportunity to cowork with other freelancers, entrepreneurs, or those who just need to get out of the office for a day.
9:00–11:00a LeKeshia Grant, EC

11:00a–12:00p The Hub Lunch & Learn: Hiring Yourself and Others, 937 Payroll
As a startup, one of the most challenging questions is when and how to pay yourself and others. Join us for this lunch and learn as we uncover the strategies for owner distributions and salaries, as well as how to hire and pay employees and contractors. We will explore the differences between Sole Proprietorship or Partnership and S Corp or C Corp. In addition we will explore employees versus contractors. Getting paid is a big part of why we start a business! Let's figure out the best ways to do that.
