Brunch in the Oregon District

Everyone knows you can visit the Oregon District any Friday night to catch bands, listen to comedians, and drink a few beers, but have you ever gone back to 5th Street on Saturday morning for brunch?

Brunch in the Oregon District

Here are some great places to try:
The Trolley Stop
The brunch menu here is short and sweet with vegetarian options alongside bacon and sausage - all at incredibly reasonable prices. They don't have any "meals", so you order all of your items a la carte. With options like frittata and cheesy potato casserole, you might find something you love that you weren't planning on. Also, you can order a side of Nutella with anything you order! One of the best features of The Trolley Stop brunch is their mimosa bar: They give you a glass of sparkling white wine and you can doctor it up with an assortment of fruit juices and berries. They also have a bloody mary bar with olives, onions, and cheeses. With so many options, it's hard to leave The Trolley Stop feeling anything but happy!
Lucky's Taproom & Eatery
This may honestly be the only bar in Dayton offering vegan and gluten free options for brunch. Lucky's has consistently shown that they care enough to offer meat alternatives in their dishes and now that they've also started taking consideration for people eating a gluten free diet, they are just amazing! When you try the banana bread French toast, you won't believe how yummy gluten free can be. Their breakfast tacos are a perfect option for those looking for something less sweet for brunch, whether you choose regular chorizo or meat free soyrizo. Lucky's serves coffee from Press and they also have a bloody mary bar with more options than you can fit into one drink! Lucky's commitment to providing great food and drinks to everyone (even vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free dieters) is admirable and the results are delicious!
Blind Bob's
This bar is well known on the Dayton music scene but you don't have to worry about missing out during brunch - their juke box is filled with great music. The portions at Blind Bob's are large and the food can't be duplicated. The menu has several options for a great brunch meal with vegetarian options included. The dishes range from traditional breakfast to a little out there (when you order Breakfast Monster! is that what you're eating or do you become one?). They offer coffee, mimosas, and other breakfast cocktails to make sure you really enjoy your brunch. Eating brunch at Blind Bob's is sort of like sampling a little nightlife during the daytime.
5th Street Wine & Deli
If you don't have time to sit down to brunch but still need some delicious breakfast to start your weekend, you have to try Fifth Street Wine & Deli. They offer amazingly tasty breakfast sandwiches on bagels using some of the highest quality meats and cheeses available. If you do have a little time, they have some seating inside as well as a patio outside. 5th Street Wine & Deli is also a wine and beer store with tons of great options. A lot of people in the Oregon District appreciate that they also sell convenience items like cat food and toothbrushes so they don't have to venture so far to procure these items. 5th Street Wine & Deli makes stopping in for a quick breakfast sandwich fun and convenient!
