Made in Dayton: Marion's Piazza

Daytonians love the thin crust and ground sausage that separate Marion's from other pizza chains in the area. And Marion's always makes the short list of must have foods for those who return to visit after moving away. Are you interested in shipping Marion's pizza to someone in the continental United States for Christmas?

Made in Dayton: Marion's Piazza

During a visit with my friend Kristina and her mother last Sunday I was inspired to include Marion's Piazza as a Made in Dayton feature business. Sheri (Kristina's mom) shared with me that for her son's 50th birthday, she shipped Marion's pizza to him in California. I worked for Marion's for 3 years during high school, so I was aware pizzas could be shipped far away, but it occurred to me Sunday that some of you may not know it. Marion's Piazza has shipped thousands of its pizzas throughout the United States to former customers who have moved from the Dayton area.

Daytonians love the thin crust and ground sausage that separate Marion's from other pizza chains in the area. Like Mike-sell's chips, Marion's always makes the short list of must have foods for those who return to visit after moving away. Marion's Piazza has been voted "Dayton's Best Pizza" in over 32 local newspaper and magazine surveys and has been rated "Second in the Nation of Independent Pizza Establishments" in Pizza Today Magazine.

Marion's Piazza has been a Dayton staple since Marion Glass opened the doors in 1965. The large dining areas successfully bring the outdoors inside with an Italian style piazza, or courtyard where they serve the thin crust pizza, sandwiches, salads, and chips. Over the past 47 years Marion's has grown to nine locations including the newest store in Mason. They recently began accepting credit cards (Visa/MC/Discover), so you don't have to pass them by when a credit card is all you have.

Are you interested in shipping Marion's pizza to someone in the continental United States for Christmas? It's not cheap, but they're willing to do all the work for you. Here's what you need to know:
