The Christmas Bird Count is one of the world's longest running vital citizen science efforts. Each year observers spot over 2,500 individual birds!

One of the world’s longest-running citizen science efforts. In addition to Glen Helen, our 15-mile count circle includes John Bryan State Park, Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve, and many Greene County parks. Each year observers spot over 2,500 individual birds! RSVP to nboutis@glenhelen.org.

    Glen Helen is a 1,000-acre nature preserve of woods, waterways, prairies, and fields, laced with 25 miles of trails. The grounds are open daily, dawn to dusk.
