DAYTON - JDRF Southwest Ohio Chapter is proud to announce their newly re-branded summer chic cocktail evening, Dayton Party for a Purpose: Summer Soiree.
The annual Miami Valley fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 29 at the Dayton Masonic Center. Beginning at 6:00pm, guests are invited to partake in an exciting interactive dining experience during the event. Along with food and music, there will be both a live and silent auction along with a Fund-a-Cure.
"The Dayton Summer Soiree is an exciting change and addition to the family of fundraising events for JDRF Southwest Ohio Chapter," said Melissa Newman, Executive Director. "By taking this new approach and embracing the summer atmosphere, we hope to raise not only funds for research, but also awareness in the community about type 1 diabetes."
Channel 2 News anchor Marsha Bonhart will be entertaining the crowd as emcee for the night. Rick Moody, local Commercial Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer for Dayton Commercial Realty, will be enticing the crowd to bid on the amazing items presented during the live auction.
"JDRF is very appreciative of all the outstanding support we receive each year from our various fundraising events," said Newman. "The JDRF mission would not be possible without the great community supporters and the wonderful, dedicated staff who is working around the clock to make summer soiree incredible."
Immediately following the soiree, an after event lounge, DJ, and late night bites will be available for guests.
