Video: The Dayton Police Department addressed the recent street "Takeovers" at the Dayton City Commission meeting this week.
On Sunday, January 15, multiple "street takeovers" took place in and around the City of Dayton. This incident follows a significant increase in illegal street racing and reckless vehicle operating known as "hooning" or "street takeovers", according to the Dayton Police Department. Major Jason Hall gave a presentation at the Dayton City Commission Meeting on January 18.
"This behavior, given the obvious danger it presents to health and safety, demands that we take strict enforcement actions to deter this from happening in the future." - Major Jason Hall
