Tama Martial Arts proudly hosted a thrilling and competitive Kids Karate Tournament, featuring the participation of approximately 10 esteemed martial arts schools from the region.

Tama Martial Arts, located at 1753 Woodman Dr., proudly hosted a thrilling and competitive Kids Karate Tournament today, featuring the participation of approximately 10 esteemed martial arts schools from the region. The event showcased the incredible talents of young martial artists, emphasizing discipline, skill, and sportsmanship.

Cox Karate School emerged as the recipient of the prestigious "Best Supporting School" award, highlighting their outstanding commitment to fostering the growth and development of their students.

In a heartwarming gesture, Grandmaster Manuel Taningco, a revered figure in the martial arts community, presented scholarship funds to three deserving recipients. Peyton Carathers, a senior at West Holmes High School from Loudonville, Ohio, earned recognition for her dedication and prowess under the mentorship of Christine and Jim Fisher, instructors at Rising Star Martial Arts. Ty Wetzel, a junior at Walter E. Stebbins High School in Dayton, and Lindsang Nguyen, a senior at Beavercreek High School, both students of Tama Martial Arts, were also honored for their exceptional achievements in martial arts and academics.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from young martial artists, showcasing their skills in various categories, including forms, sparring, and weapons demonstrations. Spectators were treated to awe-inspiring performances and demonstrations of discipline, focus, and determination.
