Nibbles Restaurant and Catering officially opens January 22 and 23 during the Miami Valley Restaurant Association's Winter Restaurant Week in Dayton.
Chef Maria Walusis was a hit at her "Culinary Open House" to introduce Nibbles Restaurant & Catering last evening. The intimate eatery was overflowing with guests anxious to get a sneak peak inside and congratulate Chef Maria. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres were served to provide a hint of what will be offered to diners on Thursday & Friday evenings only. The bar was open and offered a variety of beer and wine choices.
Chef Maria's Mediterranean Hummus featuring toasted cumin, diced cucumber, tomato, red onion, feta, Kalamata olives, and balsamic drizzle is incredible (not shown). Her smiling team also served up Portabella Mushroom Caps, Polenta Cakes topped with Herbed Mushroom and Goat Cheese Ragu, Stuffed Button Mushrooms, Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppadew Peppers (my favorite "Nibble"), and Champagne Cupcakes!
Nibbles officially opens January 22nd and 23rd during #DaytonRestaurantWeek. The restaurant only seats about 34, so reservations are recommended!
Also worth noting, the restaurant entrance is on First Street (at the back of the building), in spite of their 105 S. Second Street address.
Update: Nibbles Restaurant & Catering closed in October, 2017. Chef Maria opened Watermark Restaurant shortly afterwards.
