Serving steaks on a 755-degree volcanic rock, Michigan-based restaurant Black Rock Bar & Grill will open at the Mall at Fairfield Commons this fall.

Black Rock Bar & Grill to open at the Mall at Fairfield Commons

The Mall at Fairfield Commons has announced in a press release that Black Rock Bar & Grill will be opening later this fall. The new steakhouse will be constructed at the former Don Pablo’s location, which closed in 2016.

Black Rock will join the already diverse mix of restaurants at the mall, including BJ’s Brewhouse, Chuy’s Tex Mex, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, Spinoza’s Gourmet Pizza and Salads, FUSIAN, MacKenzie River Pizza, Melt Bar and Grilled, and Flyboy’s Deli.

Black Rock Bar & Grill, which operates 11 restaurants in Michigan, Florida and Illinois, serve their steaks sizzling on a 755-degree volcanic rock.

“Their hot volcanic stone cooking is the focal point of their menu with a selection of steaks and seafood options that are sure to satisfy anyone’s palate,” according to the press release.  "They also feature a large assortment of appetizers, sandwiches and desserts. Combine their food with a full-service bar that features seventeen craft beers on tap and signature cocktails, you have everything you need to make your dining experience unforgettable!"

According to their website, Black Rock has been voted the number one steakhouse in Michigan for the past five consecutive years, and in 2013, entered a nationwide competition to be named “America’s Next Top Restaurant Franchise”, and won first place.
