Yellow Cab Food Truck Hub launches this Friday

The Yellow Cab Tavern in downtown Dayton will launch a new food truck event this weekend, complete with social distancing compliant outdoor seating and live entertainment.

The organization hopes that with strict new policies to keep guests and staff safe, the new "Yellow Cab Food Truck Hub" event can run weekly Thursday through Sunday from 4 pm, closing at 10 pm on Thursdays and Sundays, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

"We are very fortunate to have an incredibly large outdoor dining area at The Yellow Cab Tavern and to be focused on counter service style dining that does not require servers, plates or glassware, and can be accomplished with minimal contact," the organization posted on its Facebook page.

The new safety measures include limiting groups to four people or less, tables that are 12 feet or greater in distance apart, and strict rules on masks, which must be worn at all times unless you are seated at your table.  Ordering will be done exclusively online, and guests will be required to clean up before leaving.  Click here for complete details.

The "Yellow Cab Food Truck Hub" will kick off this Friday at 4 pm at 700 E. Fourth St.  Food trucks on-site will include The Pizza Bandit, Billie Gold Bubble Tea, Twisted Taco Dayton, HaolePino Hawaiian-Filipino Island Cuisine, and Momma'z Boyz, with more to be added.  Beer, cocktails, and wine will be available at The Yellow Cab Tavern.  Carryout and delivery with 5 miles will also be available.
