B and Me Check Out Fricker's Centerville

Anyone who knows me knows I’m very proud of my two handsome talented nephews. The oldest is known as "B" and the youngest has been dubbed "Bub".

They have graciously accepted my invitation to offer their opinions on local restaurants and entertainment venues in the Greater Dayton area. They are both very active in school (4th and 5th grade) and sports, so our plan is to alternate between B and Bub every other month. B volunteered to go first.

B worked up quite an appetite during his Saturday morning football game (they smashed the competition). He was hungry for wings and selected Fricker’s (Centerville). The restaurant was buzzing with fans watching football when we arrived. B selected a table very near a couple televisions so we could catch all the action – all those TV’s featuring sports are one of the reasons he chose Fricker’s. They have 40 televisions, so there aren't really any bad seats.

Megg, our server was cheerful, friendly, and complied with all our requests, including B’s request to mix different flavors of pop. We both ordered Frickin' Chicken Chunks (B – mild with a side of hot, me – Killer) and fries (B – curly, me – wedge). We were thrilled when the food arrived faster than expected.

B reports that he found the mild and hot sauces flavorful without being too hot. He really liked the lean chunks of chicken breast (no processed chunks here). The curly fries were hot and great dipped in the side of hot sauce. As for me, chunks in Killer sauce dipped in a little blue cheese along with wedge fries hit the spot.

Fricker's, founded in 1985, is a locally headquartered chain of restaurants with 19 locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.

Thumbs Up Fricker's - from B and me!
