Celebrate all things creative at ArtFest

The fourth annual ArtFest, a free-admission creative festival that showcases local art of all genres, will take place at the Beavercreek Community Park on September 15. This festival invites community members to celebrate all things creative by engaging Daytonians with local artists, artisans and organizations. Each year, artists and organizations are nominated to be the festival’s featured artists, and this year the committee has decided to feature two local artists and one local organization: Josh Merritt of JLM Glass Studio, Tiffany Clark of The Mural Machine and Doom’s Rooms, a local escape room business.

A Dayton native, Tiffany Clark is the owner and lead painter of The Mural Machine – painting murals are her specialty. Clark is passionate about positively impacting the city of Dayton and its perspective through the therapy of public art. Clark believes art allows people to connect with each other and create a change in the environment which in turn, brings a new light and color to the community. ArtFest encompasses all of this, and Clark loves this event because, “bringing different portions of the arts community together far from across the Miami Valley for such an interactive festival makes it easy for everyone to be a part of the arts.” Keep a look out in the future because Clark says The Mural Machine has several community murals in progress.

You can see Tiffany and The Mural Machine along with dozens of others on Sunday, September 15th for free demos, activities and to shop their art, while enjoying local entertainment, food and brews. Visit infusion-art.org/artfest for more info. ArtFest of Miami Valley is held on Factory Road near Rt 35 in Beavercreek from 11 am to 5 pm. Free parking and admission.
