Dayton's largest brewery, Warped Wing wins National Addy for those colorful and creative can designs.

Warped Wing Wins National Award for Can Designs

Warped Wing Brewing Company, which opened in 2014 and began canning after just six months of operation, has won a National Addy at the American Advertising Awards (AAF) show in Las Vegas. John Pattison of Cincinnati designed the cans. "It's incredible to work with clients that embrace, foster and push the creative process," Pattison said. "Warped Wing is all that. And winning this award validates all of our hard work."

The competition, which recognizes creative excellence in the art of advertising and design, had over 40,000 entries and has local, regional, and national awards.  Winning at the National ADDY level is regarded as the most difficult award to earn.  "This is a great achievement for our creative team and further validates the artistic strategy behind our packaging design." said Nick Bowman, one of the brewery co-founders.

Now home to more than a dozen in the region, Dayton has seen a boom in craft breweries as craft beer continues to grow in popularity.
