CULTURE WORKS RELEASES THE 2016-2017 GUIDE TO ARTS & CULTURE IN THE DAYTON REGION

Culture Works produced the first issue of the Guide in 2012 to showcase how many exciting opportunities there are for cultural involvement in our region. Since its first publication, the Guide has become a popular tool used by realtors and human resource professionals looking to attract new talent to the area and introduce new residents to the region’s vast array of arts opportunities.

But with an ever-growing cultural scene in the Dayton Region, the Guide isn’t just for newcomers. Longtime residents who like to stay on top of what’s happening in the arts community will find plenty of new information in this year’s edition. The 2016-2017 Guide has expanded this year to include 20 additional cultural organizations.

The significant growth of the Guide this year is a direct result of Culture Works' participation in Arts & Economic Prosperity 5, said President & CEO Martine Meredith Collier. Since January of this year, Culture Works has been the Dayton Region facilitator of the national Americans for the Arts study, which measures the economic impact of nonprofit cultural organizations. Conducting research for AEP5 introduced us to many organizations we hadn't been in contact with before, particularly historical museums.

As in previous years, the Guide is free to the public. A digital copy is available on cultureworks.org, and hard copies are available at the following locations:
