Kids Create - Sewing Basics and Emoji Pillow
Hand embroidery for beginners is a relaxing way to bring learn techniques that make sure your stitches are consistent every time. You can also come to refresh your basic skills if it has been a while!
I will have all the materials needed for the class or you can bring your own. All materials will stay at Needle, Ink and Thread at the end of class, however, if you are not able to complete a small emoji pillow, students will be allowed to take some floss home to finish your project. Come learn the embroidery basics and start personalizing your projects!

What you will learn:
Cutting out felt for small emoji pillow!
Threading your needle
Making a knot
Running Stitch
Back Stitch
Slip Stitch
Chain stitch
Satin Stitch
French Knot
Using these stitches students will learn how to create a small 2D stuffed animal! Possibly wanting to expand on thier own making all sorts of creations! This class will help them build on those skills!
Ages: 8 to 17

Yourself and whatever supplies you choose to, but everything you will need is provided.

Needle
Floss
Parking on Grange Hall; Park in Decoy/Knickerbocker Lot
Follow either sidewalk on the side of building to the studio door that faces Dayton-Xenia.
