APPLY TODAY! "Words for Wags • Be a part of the story" is an innovative new event in Dayton, Ohio. We're accepting applications for authors, poets, storytellers, creative coaches, improv gurus, etc. to curate a diverse offering of creativity from the Dayton region.
Wagtown is partnering with The Dayton Arcade, Culture Works, Story Slam Dayton, Lore, Dayton Area Writers, and Dayton Book Guys to inaugurate an event like none other. 
 
Get ready to experience a tapestry of authors, poets, storytellers, improv experts, and 10-minute inspirational talks. Imagine yourself immersed in creativity and expression - all for a great cause. 
 
Held in the newly renovated Dayton Arcade's Tank, including the very cool theater-in-the-round, we're looking for authors, poets, storytellers, creative coaches, improv gurus, etc. to curate a diverse offering of creativity from the Dayton region.
 
Here is what participants will be a part of:
 
?? Meet & greet with 20 curated authors of varied genres signing autographs and selling books
?? Gallery display of book art
?? Performed poetry
?? Prepared and improvisational storytelling about love of dogs in the Tank's sunken theater-in-the-round
?? Mini improv using cues from attendees 
?? Six 10-minute readings/inspirations/education tidbits 
?? Raffle baskets with books, dog swag, and goodies for lucky winners
?? Service dogs practicing their skills 
?? Mini keynote
?? Light beverages and snacks
 
Wagtown is celebrating FIVE years of making the wag happen in Dayton, Ohio. Each author will have books for sale and a percent of proceeds will benefit our nonprofit work in animal welfare! The event is free, but donations are encouraged.
