Dayton Metro Library Brings Seasonal Stories to Life

Several Dayton Metro Library Branches will be hosting Story Walks with activities that everyone in the family can enjoy. The Walks are available for viewing during Branch hours.

The Branch locations where Story Walks are available include: 

Wilmington-Stroop Branch Library
The Polar Express Story Book Walk through Thursday, December 30:
Experience the magic of The Polar Express, written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, and enjoy train-themed activities along the way.

Vandalia Branch Library
The Snowy Day Story Walk through Thursday, December 30:
Families will be able to enjoy The Snowy Day, written by Ezra Jack Keats. Stroll through an indoor winter wonderland and have fun with a photo op, foam snow, a snowball toss, a snowflake match game, and much more.

West Carrollton Branch Library
The Mitten Story Walk through Thursday, December 30:
While experiencing the classic tale of The Mitten, by Jan Brett, kids of all ages can take in a winterscape and hands-on activities related to the story.

Trotwood Branch Library
Pop Up Program: Polar Express Storytime and Santa, Tuesday, December 7, from 6 – 7 pm:
For one day, join the Branch in a reading of The Polar Express, singing songs, and visiting with Santa. This program will be held outside, weather permitting, and registration is required.
