Dayton Ballet

The Dayton Ballet proudly celebrates its 85th anniversary in the 2022–2023 Season. Founded in 1937, the Dayton Ballet has a rich history of commissioning and performing new ballets alongside timeless favorites. In this anniversary season, the Dayton Ballet presents a season of timeless classics like the family-favorite Peter Pan, alongside new and innovative works that span genres. Here are the scheduled performances for the 2022–2023 Dayton Ballet season:

Dayton Opera

The thrill of attending phenomenal performances can be yours all season long in the 2022–2023 Season at the Dayton Opera

This season, you’ll get to experience all that opera has to offer. From Wagner’s epic Das Rheingold, a jazz-infused opera centered on the ghost of Charlie Parker, to the classic holiday story of Amahl and the Night Visitors there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Dayton Philharmonic Masterworks Series

This season, the Dayton Philharmonic performs favorite symphonic masterpieces that will delight music fans all year long. From Respighi’s expansive Pines of Rome, Rimsky-Korsakov’s captivating musical telling of Scheherazade inspired by The Arabian Nights, Berlioz’s opium fueled and fantastical Symphony fantastique, to works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and more!  Here are the 2022–2023 Masterworks Series concerts:

Dayton Philharmonic Rockin' Orchestra Series

Rock n’ roll across the decades with the Dayton Philharmonic in the 2022–2023 Rockin’ Orchestra Series. This year, enjoy the music of Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, and jam out to the music of the '80s. 

Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering these great classics, you’ll get to hear classic rock acts in a brand new way–with a full symphony orchestra! Here's the 2022–2023 list of Rockin' Orchestra concerts:

Dayton Philharmonic SuperPops Series

Swing into a new season with the Dayton Philharmonic in the 2022–2023 SuperPops Series. From passionate Latin music from Spain and the island of Cuba to the timeless Broadway classics from Stephen Sondheim, the SuperPops has something for audiences of all ages to enjoy together! The DPAA Family Series

The Family Series starts with two perfectly spooky and kid-friendly performances–PhilharMonster with the Dayton Philharmonic and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with the Dayton Ballet. In December, you’ll travel to the magical Land of Sweets with the Dayton Ballet’s The Nutcracker.

In the spring, follow the adventure of the Mysterious Maestro along with the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and put a feather in your cap at Peter Pan with the Dayton Ballet.

DPAA Special Events

Join the Dayton Philharmonic and Chorus at the Schuster Center for a glorious choral masterpiece, Handel’s Messiah. Ring in the New Year with the Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera, and Dayton Philharmonic in a feast for the sense with a Voyage á Paris.
