Dayton is Ready to Cause a Scene!

Today, we had the chance to walk through a building that had echoes of laughter, fun, and family. It was the facility along I-75, on Poe Avenue, formerly Roberds warehouse, now known now as Scene75.

Latest News: INSIDE SCENE 75 - Scene 75 Opened June 3, 2012!

So what if I told you that the owners were diligent about waking up every morning at 4 a.m. to bring you the best in family entertainment in Dayton, and that they were working each day to bring you their best so that you wouldn’t have to drive all the way to Cincinnati to get entertained? Wouldn’t you be grateful? I bet you would, and you will be, because what is around the corner is coming really soon.

What Is Scene75?

Watch out for the sign as you drive down I-75!

Let’s just get down to what we are really talking about here. Jonah Sandler, owner of The Chaos Room in Centerville, and Co-owner and Chief Entertainment Officer of Scene75, has had a vision for quite some time. The reality is that his concepts are amazing. If you haven’t been to the Chaos Room, then you need to go. I took my nephew there recently, and we both had a blast.

Now imagine for a minute that you could walk into a building that spans 120,000 square feet (more than two football fields in size), and you see an arcade area, but then you realize it’s more extreme than that.

What Does Scene75 Have to Offer?

As you walk in, to your right there will be a full service restaurant seating around 200 people with a huge outdoor patio. The restaurant will have a full service bar, and there will be a second bar in the center of the facility for all of the big kids who would like to have a drink! The circle is completed with a centrally located snack bar for the whole family.

Next door to the restaurant will be Mini Bowling with LED tables, screens, and leather sofas for comfort. Have you ever experienced bowling like this? We think not!

Actual Scene75 Go-Karts have arrived!

To your left you’ll encounter the largest Laser Tag in Ohio. Straight ahead, you’ll find The Racing Place.

Scene75 will have one of only two indoor electric Go-Kart tracks in Ohio and the only spin zone Bumper Car attraction in Ohio.

Also featured at Scene75 will be the region's only multi-sensory 4D Motion Theater, the only Blacklight Mini-Golf course in Dayton, and the only Mini-Bowling attraction in Dayton.

Big Bad Bounce will be the largest inflatable bouncing arena in Ohio - imagine bouncing with 30 foot ceilings!

Finally, Scene75 will boast eight Private Party Rooms, three outdoor Sand Volleyball Courts, two outdoor Bocce Courts, and an enormous Outdoor Patio. Truly, this is an entertainment center that is a one of a kind, so now you can tell others that Dayton is becoming the new destination. I have no doubt Scene75 will be the place in Dayton to have corporate gatherings, birthday parties and more.

Why Is Scene75 in Dayton?

If you have been to Dave & Buster’s in Cincinnati, then I’m sure you’ll agree that the city of Dayton has needed an entertainment venue like this for some time.

Jonah Sandler saw the potential for an entertainment complex, and moved back to his hometown of Dayton/Cincinnati from Chicago in 2009, seeking to make his dream a reality. As we walked through Scene75 today, Jonah’s enthusiasm shone through. This was his dream. Now it’s becoming his reality - and the excitement in his voice was unmistakable. Listening to Jonah literally gave us goose bumps.

When Will Scene75 Open?

It wouldn’t be fair if we built this thing up for you and didn’t share with you when it was going to come to fruition. The answer is, very soon.

This week, 4D Theater engineers arrived in Dayton from Korea. As we speak, the inside is being painted, built up, and outdoor sand volleyball courts are in the process of being finished. Teams of people, engineers and the like are visiting each and every day to bring you the best that family entertainment has to offer.

The community is already catching on, and many local businesses are giving their applause by way of corporate sponsorship. Scene75 has been in the works for several years, but getting everything down on paper, planning it out, meeting with architects, folks in the business who can bring it all together is a huge job.

With Scene75, not only are we getting a great place to take the family, but we’re also getting a place in which more than 100 jobs are being created. In fact, Scene75 just hired its first 30 employees this past week!

Scene75 is what Dayton needs and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Check Back Soon for an Update!

We couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to have walked through Scene75 today. In a few weeks, we will be revisiting this facility to get an update, take some photos, and give you a more personal look at what is to come.
