Hallow's Eve Tea at Patterson Homestead

Interested in an historical twist to celebrating Halloween this year? Try the Hallows' Eve Tea at Patterson Homestead on October 27 & 28, 2012, running from 2pm-4pm. Reservations should be made in advance by calling: (937) 222-9724.

Unlike previous years, the Hallow's Eve Tea will be held in the afternoon, replacing the Hallow’s Eve Party formerly held in the evening.  This year you'll enjoy a Victorian afternoon tea and learn about the rituals and traditions of All Hallow's Eve during the Victorian era.  There will be a time for questions and answers, and of course, tours of the Homestead's rooms where you'll learn about the history of the Patterson family.

Rooms of the old Patterson Homestead on Brown Street (once the homestead of the grandfather of John Henry Patterson, co-founder of NCR) will be lit with candles, and hosts are dressed in clothing of the time. So step back in time and enjoy the traditions of a Hallows’ Eve Tea à la the 1800’s.

Reservations are required, and we recommend you call today as this event tends to fill up quickly!

Date: October 27 & 28, 2012

Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Cost: $18 per Dayton History member and $20 per non-member (Reservations are required)

To make a reservation, please call (937) 222-9724.

Note: Patterson Homestead is open for tours every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-4pm throughout the year.
