Daniel Schmerr was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Starting in the wine-business at Jungle Jims at the young age of fifteen, Daniel hasn't stopped his thirst for wine knowledge (and a glass of Bordeaux.) He has worked for fine wine distributor Cutting Edge Selections for a number of years, Little Sonoma, and now he has found his home with Bella Vino Wine Merchant & Bar in Springboro and West Chester Ohio. Daniel achieved a level two Sommelier in 2012, with aspirations of one day reaching the Master of Wine title.

A Vicarious Spring
5/21/2013: Dayton, OH - The longevity of this exhausting weather has really put a damper on enjoying what Spring has to offer. I don't think there is anything more relaxing than sitting out on the patio with a great glass of wine and a plate of cheese on a beautiful spring evening.
