Job Description
Wild Axe Throwing's company mission is to help people escape reality through fun. Individuals step into our facility with the intention of having fun, releasing stress, and learning a new skill. You will play the lead role in helping people have a unique experience they will never forget.
 
Starting rate is $10/hour with tips, axe masters can easily average $25/hour including tips. We offer bonus pay for google reviews and other sales. There are opportunities to receive additional training which will lead to a raise. We offer performance evaluations with compensation after 6 months of employment.
 
Our ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, flexible, enthusiastic, good humored, and can communicate well with customers and staff in an engaging way.
 
A typical shift consists of: preparing lanes for customers, sharpening axes, light cleaning, and running games. Running games consist of clearly communicating and teaching customers how to throw while building their confidence. Sticking to timelines and leading groups through various games. Encouraging customers and boosting energy throughout the hour leads to an outstanding experience and bigger tips! Some shifts will offer plenty of downtime for additional tasks as in light cleaning, painting/changing boards for the targets, and other miscellaneous tasks.
 
Additional tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide excellent customer service - greet & coach customers
  • Study and fully understand all safety protocol information (provided) and be able to pass the safety certification test
  • Ensure proper safety & training of all customers
Shifts consist of Monday-Thursday 12:45pm - 10:00 pm or 5:00pm - 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday shifts vary from 12:45pm - 11:30pm, and Sundays 12:45pm - 7:30pm. Weekend availability is a must.
