Christopher James, founder, Dayton Local

Dayton Local was founded in 2012 by Christopher James, a British-American web designer and entrepreneur in Dayton, Ohio.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Chris moved to the United States in 2001 and later became a naturalized American citizen. Through his company, WEBSOURCE LLC, he has worked with hundreds of local businesses and organizations across southwest Ohio for more than two decades.

Chris created Dayton Local to help people discover events, support local businesses, and stay connected to the community. What began as a small local project has grown into one of the Miami Valley’s most widely used independent community websites.
