Winners of First Annual Top Gun Tennis Tournament Announced
February 22, 2016 – Dayton, OH; Five Seasons Family Sports hosted the First Annual Spring Top Gun Tennis Tournament on Saturday, February 20th and Sunday, February 21st.

This unsanctioned tournament was developed to provide high school boys the opportunity to play within a tournament structure against many opponents to prepare for the upcoming high school season. Each of the participants will be playing for their high school team this spring. Twenty-two singles entries and sixteen doubles teams played at least 5 rounds in a round robin style tournament format where the player(s) winning the most game moved on to the next level. Players making it to the final rounds played over 52 games similar to an intensive 5 set match. The results of the tournament are as follows:

A second Top Gun Tournament with a similar format will be provided again in the summer for girls to participate before their high school program begins.
A high school coach’s clinic was also provided by Five Seasons during this event on Saturday. Over 22 areas high school coaches attended the workshop which included information on changes in the industry, coaching strategies and on court demonstrations by USPTA and PTR professionals Kurt Kopp and Alex Stapleton.
Five Seasons Family Sports Club is a full service sports club located at 4242 Clyo Rd. in Sugarcreek Township which is home of the 5 Star Tennis Academy which provides an extensive tennis program for junior players from 4 years old to high school elite. The club is only one of ten facilities in the Midwest USTA area with a USTA accredited Junior Tennis Program.
