Ronny Makoyepuk - Dayton
I’m an independent journalist, certified civil rights consultant, and photographer in Dayton, Ohio. I'm available for collaboration with any organization engaging in American Indian heritage and cultural preservation, and with any apolitical civil rights organizations holding an event in the Dayton Metropolitan area. I provide no-cost civil rights consultations by appointment, and I host a free community photo club at various Five Rivers Metro Parks and Dayton Metro Library locations. You can register for both on my website.
I am currently writing a book on the application of constitutional rights in everyday encounters, with a focus on First Amendment protections for every United States citizen. The book (2 years in the making as of 2025) will include case law, Supreme Court rulings, and real-world anecdotes to provide you with an in-depth understanding of your rights, responsibilities, and limitations the government is allowed to enforce. This book has practical information for photographers, journalists, vloggers, protesters, and even police!
You can find my work on the Ohio Arts Council, Substack, DeviantArt, Fine Art America, Photography Select, and more by visiting my website.
